The Evolution of Art and Tattoos

In every century, art has been portrayed differently. Just like with styles and fashions nowadays sexy lingerie, there have been different art fads that have become popular. It's usually referred to as achievements and evolutions in art, rather than the fads that they actually are. Unlike today, these fads became popular and held their popularity for decades, even centuries, whereas today they may only be around for a matter of weeks, or months if they are lucky.
In today's generation, art has taken more forms than it ever has before. From performance art to using computers to create new art styles, art is appearing every where you look. One of the newest things to be considered a form of art by most people are tattoos. They have evolved almost as much as any other art form out there, and are one of the most publicly known.
Tattoos used to be associated with sailors, pirates, and the type of people that your parents didn't want you to associate with. In today's society corsets dress, they are seen on every type of person imaginable. Sure, there are plenty of designs that are more or less commonplace, but those aren't the type of tattoos can be considered art. There are hundreds of tattoo artists that spend hours designing and re-designing each aspect of a tattoo so that it is completely unique, and truly a masterpiece.
Many times ones such as these can cost thousands of dollars corset dresses, and take multiple sessions to complete. How long and how much depends on the size, complexity, and amount of color used on the tattoo. The type of ink may also be a contributing factor. The newer gel-based inks provide a much brighter color and can last longer. A good quality artist may charge so much per session, or may quote you a price for the entire thing.
A lesser known artist may give you a better deal than a highly respected and established artist that has already developed a reputation. After all, once your tattoos are finished you become a sort of permanent advertisement for their work.
There are many similarities between what we typically think of as classically trained artists and tattoo artists; both spend years honing their crafts, taking lessons from more experienced persons in their fields, and even serving an apprenticeship. They both spend time sketching out various designs for their masterpieces before settling on a final design. Both accept payment for their work, and most importantly, they both take pride in what they've accomplished.
There are plenty of respectable people that have tattoos. Most times, you won't even know that they have them. It may be because they don't want to share them with the whole world, but more likely than not it is due to a dress code for their job. Many professions are more tolerable of tattoos now corset tops, but some still have restrictions about them. They may need to be able to be covered by the uniform, or else covered by a bandage so that they are less noticeable. This usually applies to all tattoos, even if they are not vulgar or could be considered offensive. Perhaps one day it will no longer matter, but for now we need to still be respectful of others.
