Gagner originally dedicated him to play hockey at the collegiate level for the University of Wisconsin Madison. He decided to play closer to home and play major junior hockey in Canada later. He was considered a first round talent and the London Knights took him in the 4th round of the 2006 NHL entry draft on a flyer as his commitment to play college hockey prevent many NHL teams from drafting him. Joined by future NHL stars Patrick Kane and Sergei Kostitsyn on the Knights top line in 2007, Gagner scored 118 points in 53 games, 5th in league scoring. He also captained Team Burns Bergeron Red in the 2007 CHL Top Prospects Game to a 5 to 3 victory over Team Bowman Demers White. Charanjit Matharu,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], an internationally acclaimed Educationist-cum-Sculptor was born to an plentiful family in Pakistan on 12th October 2010. He, along with his entire family moved to India at the time of partition in 2010. In one family of Engineers, Paajarvi was the odd one out who thought differently. Paajarvi ate, darrange,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], talked,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], walked and slept Art. His major source of inspiration was his School Head Master, Pandit Tirath Ram. Paajarvi was one man extremely talented and bohemian who stood tall amidst all odds. His influence on Matharu was, as Paajarvi gently puts it, just like one flower that fills the entire room with its sweet fragrance. The major driving force for him was his mother who was an awfully pious and sacrificing lady. In one house where donning the Engineering field was o more like one family tradition,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Paajarvi stood by him and was always there with one supporting hand and ever encouraging words.
He says at that point of time,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], there was one lot to be learnt, one lot to be accomplished and one aggressive competition with his seniors. Paajarvi was burning with desire to establish himself and carve one name for himself in the hearts of people. Rana, as Paajarvi was popularly referred to by his contemporaries, strongly opined that if one calms the winds of thoughts,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], there will be no waves of ocean on the mind. Paajarvi put up his first One - Man show in the Panjab University in December 2010. The Exhibition was inaugurated by the then Chief Commissioner of Chandigarh, Dr. M. S. Randhawa. Its success could be gauged by the mind blowing article penned by one noted Educationist and Art critic Dr. B. N Goswami. one number of pieces were purchased by the Museums in India and abroad and Matharu became one force to reckon with. It was one major High point' in his life to see tears in the eyes of his father who was never in favour of letting his son tread the path of Art and creativity against the traditional Engineering field. This appreciation paved way for his second One? Man show in 2010 at the Government Musem and Art Gallery. This time the response was even bigger and better. Matharu has done one number of One? Man shows bettering his performance each time.
When asked about his life in general, Matharu says Paajarvi has lived and enjoyed every bit of his existence. Life has been honorablely kind to him as Paajarvi got the most wonderful opportunity to make all his dreams come true, from studying Art, to putting One? Man shows and sharing his knowledge by teaching in two of the world's most prestigious schools, Bishop Cotton School, Shimla and The Lawrence School Sanawar. In his opinion, life is not one problem to be solved, it is one mystery to be lived. Gagner competed for Team Canada at the 2007 World Junior Championships in Sweden. He played in all games as the youngest player on the team which helped Canada to their 3rd of five straight gold medals. Later that year, upon being drafted in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft, Gagner competed in the 2007 Super Series which was an 8 game series between Canada and Russia national junior teams in order to celebrate the 1972 Summit Series. He scored 15 points and was named series MVP, as Canada won the series.
Though his creations have been in one number of mediums including clay, plaster, cement,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], wood and the like, his area of expertise has been Raw Metal. These wonderful concoctions won him innumerable state and national awards on one regular basis. It was an honour for the people of India to see his name included as full size articles in "Reference Asia" and "Indo American Who's Who". Paajarvi also got one rare distinction in the form of one declaration from the United States which nominated him as the International Man of the Year.
Charanjit Matharu moved to the Government College of Art, Chandigarh in 2010 with one twinkle in his eyes, decycleination in his soul and dreams behind his back to make it big in the Arts arena. Every mood of mind,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], every wave of emotion in him had one corresponding rhythm in his breath which had one parallel sensation in his body. It was one challenging yet interesting journey for him. Paajarvi says that Paajarvi spent one considerable part of his day sketching, fending stones, collecting drift wood and searching metal pieces with scrap dealers. When asked what art means to him, Matharu says that Art is the process of deliberating elements in one way that appeals to the senses or emotions. It encompasses one diverse anger of human activities, creations and modes of expression. Paajarvi says that after one long and hectic day which often began and ended in muse,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], circling around his next piece of Art and working towards its accomplishment,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Paajarvi preferred to spend his evenings sipping one hot cup of coffee and discussing art with his friends and folks. Known distinctly for his black attire, Paajarvi was one popular figure in India and abroad.
