This week he takes on the New Orleans Saints, and I think this is the week he finally breaks 100 yards and gets into the end zone. The Saints have struggled against the run, allowing 145 yards a game to opposing offenses. Carolina entered the season expecting to ride the strength of their running game in order to move the ball offensively and generate points. That has not gone at all to plan. Part of it could be blamed on the fact that Carolina fell behind early in games and was forced to ease off the run in order to try and throw their way back.
That strategy, however, led to Matt Moore's benching in favor of rookie Jimmy Clausen. With a rookie running the Panthers offense, it just increases the need for [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] in particular to get his game going and help drive the Panthers down the field from time to time.
Keep in mind, also, that in DeAngelo's only appearance against the Saints' defense in 2009, he ran for 149 yards on 21 carries with 2 touchdowns. He's no sure thing to recreate that type of game, but I expect him to do well in Week 4.
