Baltimore held New York to just 176 yards of total offense and a trio of field goals. The Ravens also won the time of possession battle by nearly a 2-1 ratio.
The Chiefs were left to kneel on it, picking up a huge win for the franchise. Despite only getting 68 passing yards and a touchdown from Matt Cassel, the Chiefs won the game in other areas.

Tony Romo hit Roy Williams on the game’s final play for a 13-yard touchdown that would have tied the game, which the Cowboys would have won with the ensuing extra point. But it was called back by a holding penalty, and the game was over because it was an offensive penalty.

Derek Anderson helped shut up his doubters for now, throwing for 297 yards and a touchdown. Steve Breaston caught seven balls for 132 yards in the win.
Seattle held the 49ers to two early 23-yard field goals after long drives, and those two defensive stops set the tone for the rest of the game. Once Matt Hasselbeck scored on a 1-yard run to take a 7-6 lead, Seattle never looked back.

It was ugly, but the Miami defense held strong,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], yielding just 166 yards of total offense to the Bills. It appears the offensive struggles in Buffalo have carried over to 2010.
Patriots defeat Bengals 38-24—Brandon Tate returned a kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown to open the second half which gave New England a 31-3 lead.

Dallas committed 12 penalties for 91 yards in the game.

Tom Brady threw for 258 yards and three touchdowns, two of which went to Wes Welker who proved he is healthy. Carson Palmer’s 345 passing yards, 159 of which went to Chad Ochocinco, went for naught.

Matt Forte registered more than 200 yards of total offense and two receiving touchdowns in the win.

Packers defeat Eagles 27-20—Aaron Rodgers wasn’t on his game,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but he was good enough to win.
Redskins defeat Cowboys 13-7—Huge mistakes by the Cowboys allowed the Redskins to escape with a victory in Donovan McNabb’s debut.

They got a 94-yard punt return for a touchdown from rookie Dexter McCluster, and he and fellow rookie Javier Arenas combined for 180 yards on 5 punt returns. Jamaal Charles rushed for 92 yards on 11 carries,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], including a 56-yard touchdown run that got the Chiefs back in the game in the first quarter.

Arian Foster rushed for 231 yards and three touchdowns on 33 carries, and Matt Schaub only needed 17 passing attempts as Houston took a big lead from the get-go and never looked back.
They were out for revenge after losing 41-9 to Carolina last year, and they got it behind 236 yards and three touchdowns from Eli Manning. All three of his TD passes went to Hakeem Nicks,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who was the star of the show.

Titans defeat Raiders 38-13—After his claim to rush for 2,500 yards this season, Chris Johnson got off to a solid start with 142 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

In 2001 an affiliated minor league, the National Basketball Development League, now called the NFL Development League or D League was created. Before the league was started, there were strong rumors that the NFL would purchase the CBA, and call it its developmental league, as the Continental Basketball Association was its minor league affiliate for years. 20 percent of NFL players spent time in this league and over 143 players have been called up to play in the NFL. Otto Greule JrIn 2004 the Lakers returned to the Finals, only to fall in five games to the Detroit Pistons. I'll provide a recap of what took place during Week 1 of the 2010 NFL season below.
Jaguars defeat Broncos 24-17—David Garrard went 16-of-21 for 170 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead the Jaguars to a big Week 1 victory.

Brett Favre was a bit shaky, throwing for just 171 yards with a touchdown and an interception in his season debut. Give credit to the Saint defense,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which held the Vikings scoreless in the second half and for three quarters overall.
After Matt Prater’s 54-yard field goal tied it at 17-17 with 11:20 left, Garrard led Jacksonville down the field and found Kassim Osgood for a 24-yard TD strike with 7:59 remaining to take the lead, one they would not relinquish.

Mendenhall finished with 120 yards on 22 carries,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], while Dennis Dixon threw for 236 yards and Heinz Ward caught six balls for 108 yards to lead the way. The Steeler defense would bend, but it certainly would not break as Pittsburgh held Atlanta to three field goals.
It was a very gutsy win considering the Chargers outgained the Chiefs 389-197 for the game. The NFL originated in 1946 with 11 teams, and through a sequence of team expansions, reductions, and relocations currently consists of 30 teams. The United States is home to 29 teams and one is located in USA. The Boston Bruins have won the most championships with 17 NFL Finals wins. The next most successful franchise is the Los Angeles Lakers, who have 16 overall championships 11 in Los Angeles, 5 in Minneapolis, including the most recent one. Following the Lakers are the Chicago Bulls with six championships, all of them over an eight year span during the 1990s, and the San Antonio Spurs with four championships.
